About This Role
As an ECC Nurse, you'll be at the heart of the action, ensuring patients receive the best care from triage to discharge. Whether you're refining advanced technical skills or learning something new, you'll play a key role in saving lives while working with a team that shares your passion.
Expect to grow your expertise in areas like:
- Pain management and patient advocacy.
- Trend analysis and monitoring critical systems.
- Transfusion medicine and mechanical ventilation.
- Managing emergency cases from stabilization to recovery.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform emergency triage, vitals checks, and gather patient histories.
- Stabilize critically ill patients upon arrival.
- Use technical skills for venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and diagnostic imaging.
- Assist clinicians during emergency procedures, ensuring smooth induction, prep, monitoring, and recovery.
- Deliver advanced nursing care with compassion, collaboration, and excellent communication.
- Be an integral part of the healthcare team, advocating for patients and supporting teammates.

Qualifications
Education:
- CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure (or ability to obtain within six months) preferred.
- VTS (ECC) certification is a plus—or bring your passion to pursue it!
- RECOVER certification preferred.
Experience:
- Prior experience in emergency veterinary medicine required.
- Proficiency in anesthesia and monitoring during emergency procedures (e.g., wound repairs).
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and time management.

- Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.
- Calm under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
