Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic located in Portsmouth; RI is looking to add an in-patient technician for our surgeries and dentals to our outstanding team!

We are a 4 Doctor, full service, veterinary hospital serving the community since 1978. We emphasize preventive care for pets and provide personalized service to families based on their individual needs. We utilize specialized techniques so that each client and patient have as much of a stress-free experience as possible.

Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic has been voted by Newport County Best, BEST Veterinary Clinic in the area for 10 years! In addition, two of our incredible technicians have been voted as the “Technician of the Year” from the Rhode Island Veterinary Technician Association!

You must have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):

Be proficient in anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, and dental radiology

 Venipuncture and radiology

 Being familiar with common medications and administration of Medications (IV or other methods)

 Gathering Medical History

 Customer Service

 Stress Free patient handling

Anticipated Schedule:

• You can anticipate four 9–10-hour shifts between M-F.
• Every other Saturday rotation (which are 5–6-hour shifts) Every Sunday off!

Compensation:

• Veterinary Assistant/Non-Credentialed Technician – Contingent on experience
• Certified Veterinary Technician – Starting $25 
• Starting wages can increase depending on skillset!
