Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is growing our Cardiology Department, and we are looking for an experienced Cardiology Veterinary Technician who wants to be part of that growth.
This is an exciting time to join CCVS. We are adding a second cardiologist in fall 2026, and our hospital expansion will include a larger, dedicated cardiology space designed to support continued growth, advanced diagnostics, and an even stronger patient and client experience.
This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys the balance of advanced patient care, diagnostic support, anesthesia, client education, and long-term case management. About This Role
As a Cardiology Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our cardiology specialists to support both outpatient and hospitalized patients. You will play an important role in helping clients understand their pet’s cardiac disease, supporting diagnostic procedures, and providing thoughtful, high-quality nursing care.
For candidates available before the cardiology expansion is fully underway, there may also be opportunities to work in other departments first. This allows you to get to know our hospital, our teams, and our culture while preparing to transition into the growing Cardiology Department.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Assist with echocardiograms, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, Holter monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostics
- Support anesthesia and sedation for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor hospitalized and outpatient cardiac patients
- Educate clients on medications, disease progression, follow-up care, and long-term management
- Process lab samples and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with cardiologists, emergency doctors, specialists, and nursing teams across departments
- Help support a growing service as we expand cardiology access for Cape Cod, the Islands, and surrounding communities
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a technician who brings strong clinical judgment, confidence, and a genuine interest in specialty medicine.
Ideal candidates will have:
- CVT, RVT, or LVT credential, or eligibility and willingness to obtain credentialing within 6 months
- Prior experience in cardiology, specialty medicine, emergency, internal medicine, anesthesia, or advanced nursing care
- Strong technical skills and comfort working with complex patients
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and diagnostic support
- Clear, compassionate communication skills with both clients and team members

Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule and a shared holiday rotation.
- Pay range: $22–$32/hr, based on experience, credentials, expertise, shift differentials, and overall alignment with the role. Most new hires can expect an offer between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
- Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus available.
