Part-Time Exotics Surgery Veterinary Technician (Mobile Practice)

Beck Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Veterinary Exotics Technician to assist with surgeries and appointments, supporting our growing mobile exotics practice.

Position Overview:
This role focuses on assisting with surgical procedures involving exotic species in a mobile and hospital setting, with additional time assisting with appointments. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in veterinary anesthesia, with a strong interest in exotic animal medicine.

Schedule:

• Approximately 10–20 hours per week
• Hours vary weekly based on surgical caseload

Work Locations:

• Beck Veterinary Services office in Cranston, RI
• Surgical sites in:
  • Plainville, MA
  • Warwick, RI
  • Richmond, RI
• May include mobile unit appointments

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with exotic animal surgical procedures
• Administer and monitor anesthesia
• Prepare surgical equipment and maintain sterile environments
• Support pre- and post-operative patient care
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and communication with the veterinary team
• Assist with appointments as needed

Qualifications:

• Required: Experience with veterinary anesthesia
• Preferred: Experience working with exotic animal species
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a mobile, multi-location setting
• Enthusiasm for learning
